In the future an increasing number of industries will have to comply with greenhouse gas reduction directives. For a project to efficiently reduce emissions, relevant alternatives and their associated risks and opportunities needs to be analyzed. A Carbon dioxide-reduction plan is associated with various sources of uncertainties, both related to the true value of activity data and conversion factors used to calculate emissions, and sources of uncertainty related to emission reduction projects in general. These may be categorized into parameter uncertainties and uncertainty drivers.
