The grey zone between common knowledge and the yet unknown is often characterised by opinions and little read scientific reports. Brandforsk, the Swedish Fire Safety Research Foundation, works towards narrowing that area and the area of unknown by gaining new knowledge from the unknown and communicating scientific results. This report aims to help practitioners to find facts to use in their work and, within the area of research and development, to facilitate the process of identifying areas in which new knowledge and solutions are required.
