Sammanfattning A SEM-study was undertakten on the body louse, Pediculus humanus corporis. The results confirm some earlier findings and give some new contributions with regard to the supposed sense organs of the antennae: peg organs (smell and temperature sense), tuft organs (humidity sense), hairs (e g touch), and undifferentiated formations, which are also found all over the body with accumulation e g at the mouth. Different kings of spiracles are observed: two types on the thorax and one on the abdomen.
