Within ISO/TC92/SC2/WG4 a proposal /1/ for a fire test standard for ventilation ducts has been prepared. In order to evaluate the standard members are asked to perform tests in accordance with the draft proposal. Consequently, important information will be obtained before the participating members will vote about the fire resistance test. At the Division of Fire Technology at SP four tests have been performed: - vertical duct, fire from the outside in the furnace - vertical duct, fire from the inside in the furnace - horizontal duct, fire from the inside in the furnace - horizontal duct, fire from the outside in the furnace These four tests cover most fire situations and information about the fire resistance at the penetration point will be obtained.
