The SECTION FOR INTERNATIONAL POLITICS is in charge of studies of international problems, to supply information to Total Defence agencies, and Ministries concerned. For some time the Section has pursued a major research project on Soviet Foreign and Security Policy. The main interest is centred on its European policy, but since Soviet activities in other directions are most likely to influence its European policy, other regions are also taken into account.
