The purpose of this study is twofold: to present data gathered in a field investigation of public responses to a false alarm sounding of civil defense sirens in the City of Concord, California, to present some general tentative conclusions based on an analysis of the responses This information is intended to supplement data available from other false alarlm studies cited in the main body of the report.
